Ashley Austin Wins Song Award with Original

Female Artist Luminary's, "To the Moon & Back" Takes Top Honor

Grapevine, Texas: With the applause from her knock-'em-dead performance at the 23rd Annual Grapefest Wine Festival having barely died down, Ashley Austin snagged first place in a local radio station's music award contest.  The Keller, Texas native won Hoss (aka Don Cudd) the Boss's Hossey Music Award Song Voting Contest Saturday, September 26, by an astonishing vote margin.

An attractive, talented, singer/songwriter, Austin's gritty, brooding lyrics are a perfect compliment to the elegant upbeat desperation you feel from her music in the spirited love ballad that won the contest, "To the Moon and Back."  And it's no wonder she took first place!  The same commanding presence that brought such an eye-popping, jaw dropping hour and a-half performance at the festival, has found it's way into the studio and onto her CD.

"It is completely amazing being up on a big stage, connecting with the fans and hearing them singing back," says Ms. Austin.  "Music is my life and I can't think of anything better."  You know that's a fact when a young woman is sacrificing social activities, and sleep to produce her inaugural CD.  Due out shortly, the highly anticipated recording is buoyant mix of Adult Contemporary and Pop/Rock filled with the same distinct class and grace that makes Ashley Austin and her music hit you like a force of nature!

What People are Saying.......

"Thank-you for a tremendous performance and show at our 2008 year-end company awards celebration.  I know I speak for many here at Lucas Group.  Not only are your vocals exceptional, but your band members are real pros.  I would not hesitate to recommend Ashley Austin for any venue.

Your web site touts you as as "fireball" entertainer with "originality in your vocals that is evident in the uniqueness of your voice".  After seeing you perform I would say that your talent goes far beyond what your web site states.

I believe you have a great future as an entertainer and I wish you, and your band and crew, the very best of luck on your journey to stardom".

"We were one of the groups that saw you at the Tap Inn at Grapevine.  I loved hearing you sing. It was great and a lot of fun.  I plan on keeping an eye on your career.  I actually enjoyed your alternative music style more. So please keep me informed when you come out with your original music.  Would love to have one of the first copies.  I will be looking for you at Grapefest."

"I'm really quite fond of Ashley Austin, I have always loved the Maroon 5 version of the song, and usually don't like when people change the songs they cover, but her cover of Harder to Breathe is really quite awesome."

"Ashley Austin and her band are the perfect entertainment for any special event.  The Class of 1969 had the band at our 40th high school reunion, and everyone said it made the event the best one ever.  People sang along and danced until 11:00pm and could have gone all night.  Ashley is an extraordinary talent"!
